Whistlers Muthers were conceived when Ralph "Whistler" Giese and Brian "Muddy" Sprung met at the Chicago Blues Festival about 7 years ago. Muddy was writing a song about the late great Detroit Tiger Mark "The Bird" Fidrych and after seeing Whistler perform he thought..."Who else would be more appropriate than Whistler to lend his unique talent to a song about "The Bird" than Ralph (otherwise affectionately known as) "Whistler" Giese?? After completing the song they became friends and decided to start collaborating together on original material and their unique take on classic covers. Hence soon after the entity, (with which it is) with Whistler's guttural voice and insane whistling style paired alongside Muddys searing slide guitar work the Muthers were born. They are currently finishing up a CD of mostly original material that promises to be a rocking good time and bring the house down much as their live performances have been known to do.
